Tridef software is a tool that can be used to view 3D videos and games in stereoscopic 3D, whether on your PC or on the TV through a dedicated adapter. This software's features include: - Works with any video codec - Simplified controls for people new to VR or stereoscopic 3D content - Compatible with all major VR headsets, including Oculus Rift and HTC Vive - Supports both side by side and over/under formats - Includes filter sliders for adjusting the intensity of the depth effect to match various types of headgear In order to use Tridef software, you will need an activation code. This code is found within the virtual reality headset, or in the case of the Windows version, in a VR headset adapter. The activation code can also be found on 3D software installation discs. The activation codes are case sensitive. This section will help you activate Tridef software using your computer. If you do not know how to connect your HTC Vive to your PC using the HTC Vive Virtual Reality Headset Adapter or how to connect your Oculus Rift to your PC then please refer to this article: HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS FOR TRIDEF SOFTWARE Once you have connected and configured all necessary hardware needed for Tridef software, we will need to download and install the software itself. Please ensure your headset is connected and configured before following these steps so you do not get an error. This section will help you activate Tridef software using your HTC Vive virtual reality headset. If you do not know how to connect your HTC Vive to your PC using the HTC Vive Virtual Reality Headset Adapter please refer to this article: HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS FOR TRIDEF SOFTWARE Once the software is downloaded, start the installer and follow the on screen instructions until you reach the activation screen (see image below). At this point, insert the activation code that is on your HTC Vive Headset or in your HTC HMD Adapter box (note: some activation codes are found in both places) and press Activate. If the software has been activated successfully, you will receive a confirmation screen as shown below. Some activation codes may have been found in both places so please check both places if you do not see an activation code. If your HTC Vive or Oculus Rift product is out of warranty, please contact the retailer that sold the kit to you and provide proof of purchase. Switching to VR mode is easy, with most video players offering the option of watching content in 2D or 3D.
